Mark is a serial entrepreneur and investor who’s built several multi-million dollar companies. In the nineties, he purchased a video rental store business and grew it to twelve locations. A few years later, Mark, with his brother, acquired a professional video and surveillance reseller which they grew to over $200 million in annual revenue and nearly 300 employees. In 2010, Mark led the merger of the two largest independent security distributors in the US resulting in a company with annual sales of over $400 million. The combined group is now part of the largest security distributor in the world.

Having scaled the entrepreneurial mountain and achieved many of his lifelong dreams, Mark has turned his attention and resources towards helping entrepreneurs succeed. In 2011, Mark launched Haney Business Ventures, a group of businesses focused on investment and growth of hometown entrepreneurial opportunities. Through HaneyBiz, Mark has invested or partnered in over 25 ventures across multiple industries including, Security, Commercial Audio/Visual, Real Estate Brokerage, Property Development, Construction, Commercial Landscaping, Transportation, Bookkeeping, Internet Commerce, and many others.

In 2015 Mark became a media personality with the launch of Entrepreneurs Unlimited, a weekly radio interview show focused on entrepreneurial education and inspiration. Since its debut, the show has garnered widespread acclaim, attracting some of Northern California’s most notable billionaires, millionaires, and startup founders as interview guests.

In keeping with his dedication to community and hometown patriotism, Mark founded Allegiant Giving, a charitable organization which invests in combat wounded veterans (Today’s Heroes) and local youth (Tomorrow’s Leaders). Mark also serves on numerous Boards including Entrepreneurs Organization and Region Business.

Mark’s greatest passion is his family – he has been married for 31 years, has two children and three grandchildren. His hobbies include family time, health and fitness, wakeboarding, deep sea fishing…and of course, building businesses!
